Tawkon Debuts Limited Edition Of Cellphone Radiation App For Nexus S

When you buy a new smartphone, the first thing you look at what the specific absorption rate (SAR) is the device you are interesting in spending cash? Neither do I, but some health organizations, we must be alert to mobile phone radiation.

Rather than trying to convince people to stop using their smartphones for phone calls (not happen), tawkon Israeli startup has developed applications that let people minimize exposure to radiation cell phone while continuing to use their mobile phones.

In essence, tawkon monitor and analyze the radiation of mobile phone using proprietary technology that allows you to "talk up" as usual and receive instructions to avoid radiation when you really need. According to the company, the levels of radiation emitted by mobile phones may vary considerably during a call, due to a number of dynamic factors.

Tawkon alerts users when these levels of radiation crossing a predefined threshold, and offers suggestions to reduce exposure, based on environmental factors in real time and use.

Apple decided to reject the application somewhat controversial - for whatever reason - and has not communicated with the launch of several months. The company has applications for BlackBerry devices, and has recently launched a new version of Android-compatible.

Now, the company is releasing a "limited edition" beta version specifically designed for Nexus S (which, in case you're still with us, has a SAR of more than 50 percent lower than the Nexus, his predecessor).

His timing is impeccable - starting next month, the city of San Francisco phone order right to know (PDF) enters into force, requiring retailers to disclose specific absorption rate values for mobile phones.
