ANDROID AND IPHONE GO TO WAR

I love the company asking if the calendar of events is entirely coincidental or on purpose. Not only are they almost always say it's a coincidence, but often try to claim that it has not even the creation of a competitor was also to do something when they made their plans. Sure.

Next week will feature another such situation. Earlier this week, News Corp. and Apple has sent invites to a press event to unveil the new iPad-only application, the newspaper said. And then this evening we have just received an invitation to an event to Google to show the latest version of Android, a honeycomb. The meaning of tablets. And guess what? I am the same day.

Certainly, the events are on different sides of the country (although the word is that News Corp. / Apple had originally wanted to host them in the Bay area too). As such, the event iPad will be slightly earlier than the event Android (8 AM 10 AM PT versus PT). This does not matter. The key is that controlling the news that day will be crucial for both parties. And Android is locked, simply press the iPad.

The events are timed and located in such a way that would have been absolutely impossible for a journalist with the calls for each event go to both. And while Google has been kind enough to host a live stream on YouTube (which News Corp. / Apple will almost certainly do not), it is still a pain to cover both extensively. You basically have to choose.

Normally, it would be all iPad next Wednesday. It is now likely to be more Android-controlled study. And do not think there is nothing in the fact that Google is displaying a "taste" of Android just before the iPad 2 is scheduled to be unveiled.

War.
